Adult Faith Formation helps Catholics deepen their relationship with God and recommit themselves to the responsibility of sharing their faith with others. Ongoing formation is a lifetime pursuit, with the primary objective to live our Christian vocation to the full and to the end, attaining “the full stature of Christ” and bearing for the Church apostolic “fruit that will last” (Eph 4:13; John 15:16).
The Church’s catechetical mission aims to help members live their baptismal commitments and fulfill the mission of being Christian leaven in the world. It touches all faith dimensions of an adult life: human, intellectual, spiritual, and evangelizing. Three major goals that guide our efforts in adult faith formation as directed by USCCB are to:
Invite and enable ongoing conversion to Jesus in Holiness of Life
Promote and support active membership in the Christian Community
Call and prepare adults to act as disciples in the Church's mission to the world
Our adult faith formation ministry engages the particular needs and interests of the adults in the Holy Family Parish community. Our faith formation opportunities are available in large and small group settings for family-based sharing and learning, in-person and online/independent learning, as well as for liturgy/whole community learning.
